I go for walks and I just have you there in my pocket to talk me through.

Dear Lynn and Robin,

I was out for my morning walk today and pressed play on your most recent podcast and honestly almost dropped when I realized the question that you were tending to what is written by me. I listened earnestly and gratefully  as your words brought me comfort and additional guidance and reassurance I’ve been seeking. In listening to all of your podcasts, you’re both doing amazing job of sending away your listener with the “big picture message“ and in this particular case, you hit a home run. THANK YOU.

From the time my kids were toddlers, I always remembered everyone saying that if a child falls, they will base their reaction more on the adult’s reaction versus how much pain the actual fall caused them. Thank you for the great reminder that even in the teenage years, it’s still “all about the reaction.”

I enjoy listening to the conversation between Lynn and Robin.  They make a great team!  It’s also a powerful message of friendship in families as relationships, starting in families, is imperative.

Your knowledge and your podcasts are a gift to this world and certainly my world specifically. Thank you for addressing my email. As always, I will continue to listen earnestly to all that you are so generously willing to share.

All episodes have been helpful and a great comfort. I feel as though I am with life long friends when listening to you and Robin, thank you. I am able to take your comments, turn around and then can interact with others with self confidence and emotional balance. I hope my presence in turn comforts someone else in my circle.

Thank you and Lynn for these amazing podcasts I’ve shared with all my friends. Had such a crap day yesterday, woke up super early today and took the dog for a long walk and finally listened to the co-parenting podcast. Such an eye opener as we stare down the barrel of the fall. I feel so spoiled to still hear your voices and have an honest to goodness laugh out loud and for that I thank you guys 🙂

And thank you sooooo much for the podcasts – they are amazing!! I learn things every time.

Hearing the mini tidbits with immediate things that I can do and implement is great. I like that you give actionable advice.

It gave me some perspective on how to have some structure but also not be too rigid.  It helped me to remember to create important memories.   I made my first ever double layer chocolate cake from scratch and then we had cake for dinner.

Lynn’s advice is very helpful, direct and provides some unique ideas on how to help children and adolescents handle their anxiety.

Flattening our emotional curve: It was helpful to highlight a balance between permission to feel anxious, sad, and disappointed with being a steady, calm source of emotional regulation for our kids (vanilla ice cream).

The very first one pulled me in an helped me to shift my thinking in a moment that I was very discouraged – thank you.

I’ve gotten a lot out of all of the episodes. Episode about regressive behavior was great to hear. Helped me see how regression is also happening with my older son.

Each have had nuggets that I’ve been able to apply for patient care.

As a full time working and full time mother to an almost 3 year old this episode really helped me understand what things I should feel guilty about and what things I shouldn’t. Thank you for that! I really have enjoyed them all. They have been so helpful during this pandemic! Thank you!❤️

As a school psychologist, I’ve recommended this listen to many parents. Lynn’s approach and advice as practical and personable,

The helicopter parenting episode was especially helpful in my work as a school counselor. I definitely see a lot of what you described. I love listening to your podcasts! They are insightful, funny and helpful. Thank you!

These speak right to me!!! I need this and it normalizes so much. I sent to our elementary guidance counselor to add to their newsletter. I think I need to listen over and over to help me.

All great – all are insightful and inspiring.  Appreciate all the time & effort that goes into episodes – found regression video an especially important one.

I work as a school counselor and have elementary age students myself. I shared this with many parents.

Each episode has a tidbit I can use, but in every episode I appreciate the concrete strategies (I introduced my child to the alphabet sleep game), combined with the bigger picture questions: looking at how your family operates and each person’s role, and the parenting anecdotes.

I started listening when the podcast first began, and having access that kind of practical information at such critical time felt like a miracle.

The episode on controlling emotions was especially helpful. The support and feeling that I’m not alone in dealing with outbursts (with a college aged kid!) and the tip and suggestions of what to say and how to manage we’re very helpful. We have incorporated some of the techniques into our interactions. Things have improved!

All of them are very helpful. I just love them all! I always discover something new and also feel reassured at the end

All of the episodes are filled with helpful tips and strategies to get me through the quarantine. I enjoy listening to the conversation between Lynn and Robin.  They make a great team!  It’s also a powerful message of friendship in families as relationships, starting in families, is imperative.

Honestly, I like everything Lynn puts out & was so happy she started this podcast during the pandemic!

The very first episode came to me at a time when I really needed it. I was battling my own anxiety and it was so reassuring to know that most of my concerns were exactly what others were going through too.

The Bonus episode was GOLD.  Completely redefined “mom guilt” for me.  So quickly reframed my perspective and is already helping me stop unhelpful thoughts.

The episode about inherited family patterns of behaviors and responses. So much helpful information to unpack the baggage I carry from my childhood experiences with my parents and enhance my self-awareness about my automatic responses to my own children and where they originate from and how to continue to do better as a parent myself by breaking those habits.

I wasn’t expecting much from the anti-racism one, honestly, but I found it to be very helpful and relevant.

Helicopter parenting – I had NEVER before put together that my parents were helicopter parents…I now realize they are.  That one episode helped me to understand so much more about myself.  I also saw some ways that I was becoming a helicopter parent for my 3 y/o.  I had no idea.  I was just acting as I had witnessed.  I can’t tell you how eyeopening it was for me.

Always insightful, relatable and practical.

I seriously sit down with a notebook when I listen to your podcast so that I can take notes and write reflections along the way.  And I continue to think on it days and weeks afterward.  It’s that helpful.

I listen to the baby and the teenager stuff even though my kids are elementary because, again, I’m finding value.

I’m so glad a friend recommended this podcast to me. It’s been a calm source of reassurance that so many challenges my family is experiencing during the pandemic are normal, while also providing me with strategies for coping in a positive way. Thank you!

I work with kids with anxiety and take any opportunity I can to learn from Lynn. This podcast is such a gift to myself and families!

Lynn and her work has been an incredible resource for my work as a professional, and now has been a total lifeline for me as a parent as well. The podcast has been relevant, positive and responsive to not just the issues of the world around us but also to the personal struggles I face with my own kiddos. Her input and encouragement is invaluable. I definitely recommend this podcast!

Every single podcast of Lynn Lyons has been on point! She is smart, articulate, funny, relatable and engaging to her listeners.

Lynn Lyons has always been there for me and my family. With a son who struggles with anxiety and working through my own issues, she gives us a simple and workable framework to perceive life and all its uncertainty. She has given me strength and knowledge for years with her book, social media posts and lectures. But now when I need her the most, she delivers a podcast that helps us all process this new and abrupt COVID culture as parents, and parent of children with depression or anxiety. The episodes are the perfect length and directly applicable to our family life. Thank you Lynn and Robin for helping me be the best version of myself which helps me be the best mother I can be!!

Thank you ladies for a glimmer of enjoyment these days. I so look forward to hearing your easy conversation and Lynn’s perfectly timed advice. I can use all the help I get at this point!

I am just so appreciative of Lynn’s podcast. At a time when there is so much to think about, her clear, succinct and professional guidance has helped me to understand why my children are behaving certain ways and most importantly, what to do about it. For example, early on she emphasized the need to insert silliness into our family, and this has been a steadfast pillar that has helped me to maintain a sense of safety for my youngest child (if mom is being silly ~ things MUST be OK). On the other hand, she also gives clear guidance and even specific phrases for how to talk to my kids and how to help them tolerate the discomfort of uncertainty ~ a skill that will serve them the rest of their lives. She also gives good guidance on how to balance the need for structure/need for flexibility that is especially difficult right now. Finally, Lynn’s tone is collaborative and supportive. There is no parent-shaming ~ just compassionate, wise advice that inspires me to do the hard work of being a good parent.

Smart and insightful. Very helpful during the current crisis, but in the future as well !! I have not read anything as helpful as Lynn’s take on how to help your child with anxiety challenges, so pleased now I get to listen to her as well .

Lynn Lyons is an in-demand speaker and we were lucky to raise grant money to have her speak to parents in our town a year or two ago. Her expertise in the area of anxiety in kids/teens is outstanding. Both kids and adults gain such understanding from her talks, book and now podcast! Highly recommend this new podcast that makes her expertise available to an even wider audience.

Lynn’s years of experience working with families of kids who struggle with anxiety is apparent. Her ability to connect with the audience in a humorous and relatable way makes this podcast a winner!

I can’t recommend this podcast to enough people! I’ve seen Lynn speak at multiple conferences and I’ve soaked in as much of her expertise as I can! I use her strategies and recommendations with my own children and in my own school counseling work! Thank you for creating this! And I love your conversation style with Robin too!

Love this podcast! This podcast of course helps me as a therapist but really I love it because it helps me as a mom. She’s down to earth, has great insight and ideas!

Give us a listen!
